Today’s craft – I’m thankful for…
Get a shoe box and decorate it with your kids….Turkey style!! Have your kids write on a piece of paper everyday one thing that they are thankful for. Allow them to get creative with the materials they use. Have them keep it a secret from you and the rest of the fam. And then place that paper in the Turkey box.
This is a great exercise to all do together. And the great thing about it is that you don’t all have to sit and write at the same time. It can be done anytime throughout the day. But it will be like a secret club you all have together for that month.
Then once Turkey day comes you place the box in the middle of the dining table and at some point during your meal you all go around picking one out and reading them out to each other.
Notice that this is actually 2 crafts!!!
How to make the turkey box…
What you will need:
- Get a decent size shoe box
- Construction paper
- Glue and scissors
- Decorative things, like: markers, glitter, gems, stickers – you get the idea ;0)
Try turning that shoe box into a turkey. You can give it feet. You can make feathers with the construction paper, you can basically do anything you and your kids want with it!
HAVE FUN MY LOVELY FRIENDS AND I SHALL SEE YOU TOMORROW :0)
